Final Target Audience Justification

After pulling all of analysis and data together I have devised the target audience appropriate  for my genre. My genre I have decided on is of course Horror and will be using key techniques and codes used by other opening sequences (which I have analysed) to create an effective and enjoyable opening sequence, I am using these techniques due to the fact of the popularity of the movies I selected to analyse. I will also stay clear of any techniques that are used in other horror films that my focus group disliked, for example the other use of gore within the Saw franchise.

My Target Audience

My target audience has been devised in my audience profile to create a clear understanding of who I am targeting. The only point that I have left out is what they do in their spare time. This I feel doesn't effect the audience into watching Horror films other than the factor of spending time with friends as Kiera state that she would watch them with friends, this suggests that I should target groups of 18-21 instead of individuals.

Targeting My Audience

The best way to target my audience is to present my opening sequence online using a popular video site, for example youtube as from my questionnaire I learnt that one of the most popular ways to watch a film is using watching it online, therefore having so public and free this will advertise to my age group. I could also use a variation of online adverts such as digital posters.
